STEPS TO ACCEPTING CHRIST AS YOUR PERSONAL SAVIOR God loves you and wants you to experience peace and a meaningful, purposeful life – abundant and eternal. God created man in His own image to have an abundant life. He did not make us like robots to automatically love and obey Him, but gave us a will and freedom of choice. The Bible calls this sin, which results in separation from GOD! Through the ages individuals have tried to bridge the gap in many ways….without success… Jesus Christ provides the only solution to our problem. He died on a cross and rose from the grave, paying the penalty for our sins and bridging the gap from God to man. We must believe in Jesus Christ and receive Him as Savior. "If you confess with your mouth "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you will be SAVED! Romans 10:9 HOW TO RECEIVE CHRIST Step 1. Admit your need (That you are a sinner). Step 2. Be willing to turn from your sins (Repent). Step 3 Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave. Step 4 Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit. Step 5 Baptism ACCEPTANCE PRAYER Dear God, I know that I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins. I am willing to turn from my sins. I now invite Jesus Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Savior. I am willing, by God’s strength, to follow and obey Jesus Christ as the Lord of my life. That’s IT! If you prayed that prayer, you are on your way to being a BORN AGAIN Christian. CONGRATULATIONS!!! Now comes the hard part, living like God would want us to live. As Christians we are representatives of Christian life, of believers, of God’s Kingdom. You are going to fail, backslide and run into obstacles of all sorts, BUT we have Jesus Christ who has died for our all of our sins, now and forever, to comfort and guide us. We, as Christians, must rely on Jesus Christ for all things. We can only get the strength, wisdom, and guidance from Him. Please take a few minutes of your time and look up these Scriptures in your Bible (The WORD of GOD):
